One honest limitation if you're a streamer: Breaking News Maker exports full scenes, not transparent overlays. Frequently asked questions

Can I export just the ticker with a transparent background for OBS or my stream?

No — to be upfront: exports are full scenes (backdrop, banner, ticker together) as MP4 or PNG, with no alpha-channel/transparent option. If you need a standalone transparent ticker strip for a stream overlay, a dedicated overlay tool is the better fit; Breaking News Maker is for complete bulletin videos and images.

How fast does the ticker scroll?

At a classic broadcast crawl pace, rendered at 60fps so it stays smooth. The loop is continuous — short text repeats more often, long text takes longer per pass.

Can the ticker say anything?

It's your text, free-form. The usual rule applies: parody and fun, nothing defamatory or designed to genuinely deceive.
