Breaking News Template
Not a flat image you type over — a live broadcast scene where every element is editable.
Most breaking news templates are static: a red bar, a white box, a font that's almost right, and a headline you paste on in some other app. Breaking News Maker is the template after that one — a living broadcast scene. The banner slides in, your headline types itself out, the ticker crawls, the LIVE badge pulses and the clock ticks, and the whole thing exports as an 8-second MP4 at 60fps or as a PNG still when the joke works frozen.
Every element you'd want to change is editable in place. The headline and ticker are free text. The channel bug in the corner says whatever you type. The banner doesn't have to read BREAKING NEWS at all — rewrite it. Six station styles reskin the entire scene, from the classic red chyron to a navy evening bulletin, a 24-hour cable layout, an opinion-cable alert look, financial TV and a retro 80s set — and when none of them fit, the custom station builder lets you pick your own colors, banner text and bug. Choose 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 and the layout recomposes for the frame instead of cropping.
What you get
A template with a timeline
Banner slide-in, typewriter headline, looping ticker, pulsing LIVE badge and a running clock — the template is the animation, not a frame you fake motion onto.
Every field is yours
Headline, ticker, banner text, channel bug, timestamp, backdrop — all editable. Nothing in the scene is locked placeholder art.
Six looks, one editor
Classic Red, an evening bulletin, cable news, an opinion-cable alert style, financial TV and Retro 80s — each a genuinely different broadcast layout, not a recolor.
Or build your own station
The custom station builder sets your own colors, banner and bug — your fictional channel, consistent across every video you make.
Three frames from one project
16:9 at 1920×1080, 9:16 for vertical, 1:1 for feeds — the elements recompose per format, so nothing gets cropped off.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a downloadable template file for Photoshop or Premiere?
No — it's better and worse than that. There's no file to import: the template lives in the browser editor, already animated, and you export the finished result as an MP4 or PNG. If you need layered source files for further compositing, a traditional template is the right tool; if you need a finished bulletin in minutes, this is.
Can I change the words 'BREAKING NEWS' themselves?
Yes — the banner text is editable like everything else. 'DEVELOPING STORY', 'WEDDING ALERT', 'URGENT: LUNCH' — whatever the bit needs.
Can I match a specific color scheme?
The custom station builder lets you set your own station colors, banner text and channel bug, so the template can carry your running gag's branding — or your podcast's.
Is the template free to use?
Free to start with a Google account — the editor is free to try without one, and free exports carry a small watermark. See the pricing page for current plans.
Can it imitate a real channel's template?
No. All six styles are original parody archetypes and the builder won't make you a real network's branding — real channel names and logos never appear. That keeps everything you make clearly parody.
