Privacy Policy

The short version

Breaking News Maker is built so that we don't have your data. The editor, the animation and the video encoding all run inside your browser. Your headlines, ticker text, backdrop photos, video clips and soundtracks are never sent to our servers — there is no upload step and no cloud rendering queue. Exporting requires signing in with a free Google account, which gives us only your email address, plan and usage counts — never your content.

What stays on your device

• Your headlines and ticker text — written, previewed and rendered entirely in your browser.
• Your media — backdrop photos, video clips and soundtrack files are read locally and composited on your device. They are never uploaded; we cannot see, access or recover them.
• Exported videos and images — generated on your device and downloaded directly. They never pass through our infrastructure.

What we collect

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes standard technical request data (IP address, user agent) to serve pages — as every website does. If you sign in to export, we use Supabase for authentication with your Google account and store your account email, your plan (free or Pro) and your usage counts (exports used this month). That is the complete list. Pro subscriptions are billed through PayPal — your payment details go to PayPal, never to us. We do not run ads and do not sell data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate site usage — which pages people visit and how they interact with them. These tools set cookies and collect usage data as described in their own policies; we use them for product analytics only, not advertising. The videos and images you create are never part of this — they render on your device and are not sent anywhere.

Cookies

Breaking News Maker does not set advertising cookies. Signing in sets an authentication cookie to keep your session, and the analytics tools above set their own cookies as described in their policies. That's the complete list.

Your content

Because nothing is uploaded, you retain complete ownership and control of everything you create. We never see it, so we cannot use it, train on it, or share it.

Children

Breaking News Maker is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only personal information we hold about any user is the account email used for sign-in.
